Laura Marshall

Laura Marshall is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Forest and Rangeland Stewardship at Colorado State University. She is working with Camille Stevens-Rumann at CSU and Paula Fornwalt at RMRS on seedling survival and growth in post-fire plantings on National Forest lands. She has experience in forest and fire ecology of the Southwestern US, including dendrochronology, growth and ecophysiology of conifers, demography and community dynamics with field and leveraging extant large data sets for new research, and an interest in the intersection of changing disturbance regimes and climate as a driver of community change. She holds a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (University of Arizona), an MS in Earth System Science (University of California-Irvine), and a PhD in Natural Resources (University of Arizona). Her PhD research in the Laboratory of Tree-ring Research involved tree growth and community response to climate, topography, and disturbance in Southwestern conifer forests.
